I was born in northern Minnesota and raised by a single mother. My school age years were tough, but I found my path when I went to Macalester College in Saint Paul, MN. My involvement in student government sparked an interest in organizing and bringing people together that has directed me ever since.

I started off my career working in Technology at Target while simultaneously serving as the Managing Director of the non-profit Girls in Tech. Wanting to continue my education and open doors to increase the impact I could have on the community, I obtained my MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

For over a decade I’ve worked in technology: currently at Marriott International. Outside of work, I’ve been a fierce proponent of diversity in STEM, previously serving on the Board of Directors of Laura Jeffrey Academy, a girl-focused STEM Charter School in Saint Paul.

I spend my time going to the gym, reading books, and working on passion projects. I also love public speaking and engaging in my community. Locally, I serve as a City Council Member for Edina, MN.
